With over 30 golf courses within 30 minutes drive of our hotel, including some of the worlds finest courses such as: Royal Troon, Turnberry, Prestwick Old Course, Dundonald, Western Gailes, Glasgow Gailes, Kilmarnock Barassie and Irvine Bogside, Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel provides the perfect location for your golfing stay in Scotland. We also have a practice golf course within the grounds of the hotel where you can play for fun or improve your game. Professional tuition can also be arranged.

We can arrange transport from Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick Airports, tee times and transport to and from golf courses.

As well as the famous courses within the area there are just as many hidden gems for you to find and play. We can point you in the right direction of these lesser known but wonderful courses, Belleisle, Troon Lochgreen and West Kilbride to name a few. Golfing on the Island of Arran can also be arranged. An amazing experience which will never be forgotten.

Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel is a magnificent ‘A’ listed Georgian Mansion built in 1817, with later additions by Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson. Montgreenan is hidden in 300 acres of woodland, parklands and gardens with views of Ailsa Craig and the Island of Arran. This seclusion belies the fact that it is only 15 minutes drive from Prestwick Airport and 30 minutes drive from Glasgow City Centre and Glasgow International Airport. The Hotel has a comfortable bar and a renowned Restaurant. You can discuss the days play in front of our genuine log fires while sampling our selection of whisky from our well stocked bar. There are 21 bedrooms each with individual décor, including three suites and four superior rooms.

Below is an example of packages available. However we know golfers have certain golf courses that they must play. We can arrange any package to suit your needs and wants. The Open Qualifier
Enjoy 3 rounds of golf on Open qualifier courses: Glasgow Gailes, Irvine Bogside and Kilmarnock Barassie. With 2 night’s bed & breakfast at our lovely country retreat from £235, 3 night’s from £290. 2 nights dinner bed & breakfast £275, 3 nights £350.

The Open Qualifier & Turnberry Kintyre
The qualifier package is also available with a round on Turnberry Kintyre, with dinner at the clubhouse. The package includes 2 nights at Montgreenan bed & breakfast from £320, 3 nights from £375, and 4 nights from £430. 2 night’s dinner bed & breakfast from £360, 3 nights’ from £435, 4 nights from £510.

Royal Troon Championship & Old Course
One round on the Royal Troon Championship course and one round on the Royal Troon Portland course, with morning coffee and lunch in the clubhouse. With one night bed & breakfast at Montgreenan £255. One night dinner bed & breakfast £275. Extra night’s available if required.

Turnberry Ailsa & Kintyre
1st November to 31st March, play Ailsa course with one night at Montgreenan from £110 bed & breakfast and from £130 dinner bed & breakfast. Play Kintyre with one night at Montgreenan from £100 bed & breakfast and from £120 dinner bed & breakfast. Prices on these courses vary at different times of the year. So please ask us for information and we can arrange a package for you to play Turnberry Ailsa and Kintyre. Extra night’s available if required.

The Ayrshire Experience
Play 6 rounds of golf on some of Ayrshire’s finest courses including Belleisle, Darley and Lochgreen with choice of another 5 courses. With 3 nights bed & breakfast at Montgreenan from £235, 4 nights from £295, 5 nights from £345, 6 nights from £400. Midweek Open Card Tour

Weekend Golf Break

Golf On The Island Of Arran
We can also arrange for you to play golf in Arran. Visit the Island they call “Scotland in miniature”. You can golf on Shiskine in the morning and visit the Distillery in the afternoon!Golf Packages

All packages are priced per person. Where it states a weekend break the weekend supplement is already included in the price. If you wish to take one of the midweek breaks over a weekend supplements will have to be added.
