Weddings : Your Wedding

The Setting
Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel is a spectacular Grade A Listed Georgian building set in 48 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. The elegant public rooms have highly decorative ceilings and features by the renowned Glasgow architect Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson. Although convenient for travel from all parts of Scotland and Glasgow and Prestwick airports, the hotel is wonderfully secluded.

The Arrival of the Guests and the Bride and Groom
We can arrange for a piper to play as you and your guests arrive at the hotel. On arrival we would suggest that a glass of Champagne is offered to your guests, together with normal service from our bar.

The Toastmaster
We provide an experienced member of staff to act as Toastmaster for the duration of your wedding. It is our responsibility to ensure that everything goes to plan on the day, and the Toastmaster will make sure that everything happens as it should at the appropriate time.

The Ceremony
Most of our couples choose to get married in the hotel, or even in the hotel gardens. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies.

Photographs
The grounds of the hotel provide many picturesque locations as a backdrop for those special wedding photographs. Should the weather be unsuitable for outside photographs, the library or the elegant staircase are also favourite places for photographs.

The Wedding Breakfast
Our elegant function rooms can accommodate up to 81 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 120 guests for the evening reception and dance.

You will find a selection of suggested menus and drinks packages for your reception wedding breakfast in the enclosed wedding package. The actual choice for your wedding will be made by you in discussion with our Wedding Co-ordinator together with our Food and Beverage Manager and the Head Chef. We always provide a choice of dishes on the menu to ensure all tastes are catered for.

The Evening Reception
The tradition in Scotland is to have a ceilidh in the evening with a band that can guide guests through Scottish Country dances as well as playing more modern dance music and some romantic numbers. We have contacts with a number of excellent bands and also can arrange for classical or jazz entertainers should you wish a different format. Normally a finger buffet is provided in the evening and again the dishes for this would be chosen by you in discussion with our team.

The Honeymoon Suite
There are two honeymoon suites at Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel, each with a Four Poster bed and spectacular views over the grounds. One even includes a double Jacuzzi. Preferential accommodation rates will be offered to you and your guests. The Bride and Groom will receive their wedding night accommodation free.
